Why does this print look so different?
You’ve probably printed a picture on photo paper before. You sent it to the DM or uploaded it to some online lab, and a few days later you had the printout in your hand.
It was nice – but not like what we show you here. And this is no coincidence.
Fine Art printing is not just another buzzword. It’s a completely different technology – different ink, different paper, different color scheme, different feel.
The difference between a plain print and a Fine Art print is as big as the difference between a phone picture and a gallery photo.
This print was made with Canon PRO-1000 pigment ink on Hahnemühle Agave paper.
Colors that don’t fade.
When we first picked up the print, we had the feeling that “this cannot be reproduced on a screen”.
The paper has a slightly warm tone, matte, beautifully reflects skin tones, shadows, and lights.
The texture is like that of a fine watercolor paper.
This is not a poster – this is a picture.
Most “photo posters” are made on glossy, thin, machine paper, and after a while they tend to fade and warp.
In contrast, the Fine Art print:
is placed on thick 308g/m² cotton paper
Made with pigment ink (not inkjet ink!)
Guaranteed colour fastness for up to 100 years
What is such a print good for?
If you would like to give a really special, personal picture as a gift
If you’re preparing for an exhibition, and printing in a photo lab is not enough
If you are looking for a decoration that is not crappy, but valuable
If you simply like the smell, texture of paper, the classic look
